76 summer courses are offered by the UMH in 17 municipalities in the province of Alicante.
The Rector of the Miguel Hernández University (UMH) of Elche, Jesús Pastor Ciurana, the Vice-Rector for Culture and University Extension, Esther Sitges Maciá, and the Director of the UMH Summer Courses, Enrique Conejero Paz, presented this morning the 14th edition of the 2013 Summer Courses, which will be held from June to September. This year, the UMH is offering a broad and varied program with 76 courses, structured across 17 venues in the province of Alicante.
The courses are structured as a forum for debate and a dynamic, participatory activity for the university community and society at large. They also address current issues such as education, sports, immigration, journalism, public and business management in times of crisis, and new information and communication technologies. This year, the courses dedicated to the Misteri d’Elx and Miguel Hernández continue, and the number of courses offered has increased by 7%. In addition, three new locations have been added: Alicante, Petrer, and Villajoyosa.
