The Miguel Hernández University (UMH) of Elche held the Official Opening Ceremony of the 2014/2015 Academic Year this morning. The rector of the UMH, Jesús Pastor Ciurana, presided over the ceremony, where the “End of Service” awards were presented to members of the university community, and Mr. Antonio Fraguas de Pablo “Forges” was conferred an Honorary Doctorate.

The ceremony was attended, among other dignitaries, by the Director General of University, Higher Education, and Science, Felipe Palau Ramírez; the president of the UMH Board of Trustees, Francisco Borja Miralles; and the rector of the Jaume I University of Castellón, Vicent Climent Jordá.
