Under the motto “In equality there is difference”, the Miguel Hernández University (UMH) of Elche will inaugurate next Monday, November 19, at 11:30 a.m. in the lobby of the Altabix building the Punt d’attention and visibility of Equality and Diversity for the University Community, located on the Elche campus. This event is part of the activities that the UMH has organized to commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, which will be celebrated on November 25.

Among those attending the event will be the Rector of the UMH, Jesús Pastor Ciurana, the Vice-Rector for Culture and University Extension, Tatiana Sentamans, and the Director of the Equality Unit, María José Alarcón.

Following the inauguration, a minute of silence will be observed for the victims of gender-based violence, and the Manifesto of the Network of Gender Equality Units of Spanish Universities for University Excellence (RUIGEU) will be read.
