ORIGIN: Mexico to Central America.
CHARACTERISTICS:
- A tree-like plant that can reach 15 m in height.
- Its base is conical and globose with dark gray bark that resembles an elephant’s foot.
- It flowers after 10 years of age.
INTERESTING FACTS:
- This specimen is the fifth largest Beaucarnea in the world and the largest in Europe (according to the book of Monumental Trees of Spain).
- Approximate age: 300-370 years.
USES:
- ORNAMENTAL: Used in gardens or indoors for its unique structure and the green of its leaves.
