ORIGIN: Western Himalayas
CHARACTERISTICS:
- Evergreen tree, reaching up to 70 m in height.
- Very long-lived, capable of living for a thousand years.
INTERESTING FACTS:
- Its specific name, “deodara,” comes from the ancient Sanskrit “devadara,” meaning “tree of the gods.”
- It is the national tree of Pakistan.
USES:
