The Miguel Hernández University (UMH) of Elche has presented the Five Lustrous Distinctions to nearly one hundred members of the Teaching and Research Staff, and the Administrative and Services Staff who have worked at the UMH for 25 years. The ceremony was held on Thursday, July 27, 2023, in the Assembly Hall of the Rector’s Office and Board of Trustees building on the Elche campus.

Those responsible for presenting the recognitions to the teaching and research staff, as well as the administrative and services staff, with the “Five Lustrous” distinction were the Rector, Juan José Ruiz Martínez; the President of the Board of Trustees, Joaquín Pérez Vázquez; the Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Cooperation, Vicente Micol Molina; and the Vice-Rector for Culture, Equality, and Diversity, Maria Asunción Amorós Marco.

This is the second time this gala has been held, which began last year to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the UMH.

Attendees were able to enjoy live music from the group Mailers, with Anabel García (vocals), Carlos Gómez (drums), Josu García (guitar) and David Arenas (bass).
