The Miguel Hernández University (UMH) has established 30 awards, each worth €1,500, distributed among the academic branches of Health Sciences, Experimental Sciences and Engineering, and Social Sciences, Law, and Humanities. These awards are linked to the Docentia-UMH Program, which has received a positive evaluation from the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA). With these awards, the University recognizes the work of professors “for their best practices, their teaching creativity, and their commitment and responsibility to the comprehensive education of students.”

All professors who requested an evaluation of their teaching activity, in accordance with the criteria and procedures established in the Docentia-UMH Program, were eligible to apply. This evaluation covers the four academic years prior to the application period (from the 2009/2010 academic year to the 2012/2013 academic year).
