Professor Juan José Ruiz Martínez of the Miguel Hernández University (UMH) of Elche was sworn in this morning as rector, a position he will hold for the next six years. Following the rector’s swearing-in, the rest of the UMH’s leadership team also took office.

The new team includes, in addition to Professor Juan José Ruiz Martínez, the Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Cooperation, Vicente Micol Molina; the Vice-Rector for Research and Transfer, Ángel Carbonell Barrachina; the Vice-Rector for Studies, Susana Fernández de Ávila López; the Vice-Rector for Infrastructure, Pedro Vicente Quiles; the Vice-Rector for Culture, Equality, and Diversity, María Asunción Amorós Marco; the Vice-Rector for Faculty, José Carlos Espigares Huete; the Vice-Rector for Planning and Social Responsibility, Domingo Orozco Beltrán; and the Vice-Rector for Students and Coordination, José Juan López Espín. The Vice-Rector for Economics and Society, María José López Sánchez; the General Secretary, Mercedes Sánchez Castillo; and the Manager, Emma Benlloch Marco.
