The Miguel Hernández University (UMH) of Elche will open a special area (racó) during the Elche festivities to enjoy the midday mascletàs (firecracker displays). As in previous years, the racó will be located from August 11th to 15th in a commercial space opposite the Tourist Office at the entrance to the Municipal Park. A charity tapa will also be offered, with all proceeds going to the Association of Relatives of Alzheimer’s Patients (AFAE). Additionally, Radio UMH will broadcast a special program live from the university’s racó from 12:30 to 2:00 PM.

The rector of the Miguel Hernández University (UMH), Jesús Pastor Ciurana, will inaugurate the University’s food court on August 11 at 1:00 p.m. It will be open during the festivities from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The restaurants offering tapas for charity at the UMH food court will be Alhabia, Museum, El Dátil de Oro, and El Granero.
