Anneta Nicoli (Altea 1841- El Campello 1893) was an opera singer from Altea, daughter of Miguel Jorro, a diplomat and owner of the Moreria estate, later owned by his brother Vicente, the Count of Altea. Ana Jorro Gómez, “Anneta”, was married to the Carrara (Italy) sculptor Silvio Nicoli and lived between Rome, Florence, and Altea. She died while traveling to Alicante, in El Campello, according to information from the book Altea 1896-1955 (La Tertulia, 1986).
