The Rector of the Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University of Elche has awarded Francisco Garc\u00eda Olmedo, a pioneer of plant molecular genetics in Spain, an honorary doctorate. Jos\u00e9 Luis Micol Molina, Professor of Genetics at the University of Elche, served as sponsor of the new honorary doctorate.<\/p>\n

In addition, during the ceremony commemorating Saint Thomas Aquinas, 79 new doctors from the University were awarded, and 15 extraordinary doctoral awards were presented.<\/p>\n
