On July 4, the Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University of Elche held the Closing Ceremony for the 2016\/2017 academic year. During the ceremony, held in the Rector’s Office and Board of Trustees building on the Elche campus, Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Peir\u00f3 Silla, Professor of Social and Organizational Psychology at the University of Valencia, was awarded an Honorary Doctorate. The sponsor of the new Honorary Doctorate was Jes\u00fas Rodr\u00edguez Mar\u00edn, Professor Emeritus of Social Psychology and Honorary Rector of the UMH. The ceremony was presided over by the Rector, Jes\u00fas T. Pastor Ciurana; the President of the Valencian Parliament, Enric Morera; the President of the UMH Board of Trustees, Francisco Borja; the Vice-Rectors, Francisco Moreno and Fernando Vidal; and the Secretary General, Mercedes S\u00e1nchez.<\/p>\n

Likewise, at this event, the Extraordinary Graduation Awards were presented to 63 students, as well as those of the 14th Innova Emprende Competition, the 4th Edition of the EmpleoWeekend Program, the 5th Edition of the EmprendeWeekend Program, and the 6th Edition of the Mentoring Program.<\/p>\n
